About Us
The Feingold Center for Children, established in 1984, provides diagnosis and treatment to children born with birth defects, genetic diseases and mental retardation throughout the New England area. The Center consists of physicians and consultants in Pediatrics, Genetics, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, Craniofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery and other specialities. In addition, the Center hosts satellite clinics at various locations throughout Massachusetts.
Since many of the children followed at the Center require the care of numerous specialists, appointments are coordinated as much as possible to decrease the necessity for frequent trips to the Center.
The Center is the host for a monthly teleconference session with other genetic specialists throughout the country to help diagnose patients who have various birth defects.
Genetic counseling is offered to prospective parents who are concerned about the possibility of genetic diseases occuring in their children. The Feingold Center for Children has formed a relationship with Boston IVF to provide genetic counseling to their patients.
The Center oversees two programs: The Pregnancy Exposure Information Line (PEIL) and The Therapy and Performing Arts Program - Cape Cod (TPA). The Feingold Center for Children and its programs are supported by The Genesis Fund.
